The land market in Ukraine over four years: how prices have changed

Since the opening of the land market in July 2021, the average price per hectare of agricultural land in Ukraine has increased by 60% and now amounts to UAH 60.7 thousand. This data was published by the Opentatabot service.

During this period, Ukrainians have concluded approximately 340,000 transactions, selling over 636,000 hectares of land. The total value of these deals has reached UAH 30.4 billion.

The most expensive land plots are sold in Ivano-Frankivsk region, where the average price per hectare is UAH 126.6 thousand. Also among the top regions are Lviv region (UAH 118.3 thousand/ha) and Kyiv region (UAH 89.4 thousand/ha). Ternopil region takes fourth place, with the price per hectare reaching UAH 86.9 thousand.

Among the regions close to the front line, the Dnipropetrovsk region demonstrates the highest prices — here, the average price per hectare is UAH 73.9 thousand.

The lowest average land price is recorded in Zaporizhzhia region — UAH 38.3 thousand per hectare.

In terms of market activity, the highest number of land transactions this year was registered in Poltava and Vinnytsia regions — 5.4 thousand agreements each. In the Kyiv region, 4.7 thousand transactions were completed during this period.
