One hundred leading agrarians of Ukraine received the honorary award “Agronomist of the Year”. Among them is the chief agronomist of Dnipro Agro Group – Ivan Surgai (second on the right in the photo).

The editorial board of The Ukrainian Farmer magazine established the honorary award “Agronomist of the Year”. The first award ceremony took place on August 20, 2024, in Kyiv. One hundred of the country’s best agronomists were awarded for their high professionalism, dedicated work, implementation of innovations and preservation of the fertility of Ukrainian lands.

The editorial board of The Ukrainian Farmer magazine, together with the expert council, honored professionals whose efforts are decisive in ensuring harvests even during the war years. Among the awarded are chief agronomists, heads of agricultural enterprises and farms.

More than 300 guests gathered at the event. Their relatives and colleagues came to share the joy of the award with the winners. The ceremony was accompanied by performances by famous Ukrainian artists. Friendly atmosphere and active communication created unforgettable impressions of the event. Syngenta and MZURI became general partners of the event.

A special atmosphere was created by the symbolic location – the National Museum of the History of Ukraine in the Second World War, in particular, the “Motherland-Motherland” monument, which reminds at what price every centimeter of Ukrainian land is acquired and the opportunity to live and work thanks to our defenders.
